E.I.P. Lands SBC Hastings Project

Energy Improvement Products (E.I.P.) of Chicago recently completed a large retrofit project at the SBC Hastings Building. A bank of 1800 square feet of TAMCO Series 9000 BF Thermally Insulated Dampers with Thermally Broken Frames were mounted on the outside wall of the building’s garage. E.I.P.’s solid reputation with Teng & Associates was instrumental in securing this contract.

The Series 9000 BF was flat specified by Jim Mierke of Teng and Associates.  This damper was chosen for its thermally insulating and condensation resistance properties, which will reduce energy costs during Chicago’s cold winter months. Chip Fisher of Gilbane Building Company, the general contractor for this project, was highly pleased with the quality of the TAMCO dampers as well as with the ease of installation.
